Kick Start to Parent Teaching

Your child or someone you love just received a diagnosis of Autism. Not only are you trying to comprehend what was just told to you, but at the same time, are trying to juggle the next few weeks of meetings, services that you are granted (if your state or country provides any) and what overall is best for your child moving forward? There is so much to do and hardly any time to do it. Not to mention, trying to find time to deal with the emotional component that comes along with all of this. You have so many questions and yet, not enough answers.

Most recently, I have seen what seems to be a shortage of teachers and school placements and more of a demand for children that need special education teaching services whether it be within their home or within a school program. I look at this as a fire that is starting to grow bigger and is spreading across to more people and across all different countries. I am writing this because I simply want to speak about an issue that I feel is becoming a problem that quickly needs a solution or many children will go too long without exposure to precious teaching opportunities. Without teaching and learning comes the loss of potential and not ever knowing what could be?

Over the course of my teaching career, I have worked and taught so many parents various skills and the way in which I saw them take on roles they never knew they could because they had to, was so amazing to see! They became pros and the progress they saw their child make as a result was all the reinforcement they needed to keep moving forward. Now I am not saying that these parents didn’t need support. In fact, support was an important factor in seeing progress for both them and their children. Support and guidance about how to teach certain skills was vital to ensure that each parent had what they needed to see progress with every target they set out to teach their child. For all of you parents that can relate to this. For all of you parents that are waiting, now is your opportunity to STOP WAITING and TAKE ACTION! It’s an opportunity to see how every small step you take in learning, can make beautiful changes for someone you love with Autism.

Hi, I’m Sue! I look forward to meeting you!

I am writing this buzz blog today to announce a brand-new parent training consultation series that will teach you various skills online with me, portions at a time so that you can learn at your own pace and within the comfort of your own home. I am currently looking for parents that want to TAKE ACTION and learn more about how to teach various skills from me LIVE here online. Within this parent training consultation series, we will go over different topics that I have observed parents go through and struggle with, such as what to do when your child is first diagnosed with Autism, how to teach your child to communicate, how to increase motivation and interest, independence with toileting, self-help skills, pairing up new activities along with address other questions you may have.

If you are a parent or know someone that has been waiting for weeks, months or even longer for teaching services to begin and want to take matters into your own hands, I want to help you learn how. Click the button below to set up an appointment to meet with me one-on-one LIVE and start learning the first steps about how to make beautiful changes in the lives of someone you love with Autism.

Best,
Sue
